Unfortunately, it looks as if Adobe still hasn't implemented the improved edge and detail rendering for Fuji x-Trans files that they promised a few versions ago. There's a number of new cameras supported in the latest version, including the much anticipated Fuji X-Pro 2. The demo looks pretty cool, and I look forward to trying it.

The feature analyzes the boundary and warps the image so that its edges fit a rectangular frame. Boundary Warp is a feature that provides another approach to handling the irregular boundary of panoramas. It can also be expensive and requires rendering out the panorama to an output-referred(non-raw) format. This can be effective, but may require multiple attempts to obtain a satisfying (smooth, artifact-free) result. Another approach is to use Content Aware Fill (in Photoshop) to fill in the transparent areas outside the boundary. This is straightforward, but important image details near the boundary may be lost due to cropping.

The most common approach is to apply a rectangular crop. There are several ways to handle irregular boundaries. Stitched panoramas often have non-rectangular boundaries. Here's what Adobe says about the new Boundry Wrap feature. Unfortunately for those with the non subscription version, this new feature is only available for CC users. Called Boundary wrap, the new feature enhances the panorama feature in Lightroom.

As well as bug fixes and new lens support, the CC version adds a new feature too.
